We are…

Gospel Oriented – Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Since all of mankind has been separated from God because of their sin, as a church we seek to proclaim the only way to overcome that separation which is the Gospel (or Good News) of Jesus Christ. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can be “good enough” for God to accept you. Sin is a disease of our souls that runs very deep, and the only answer for our sin is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why we are a Gospel Oriented Church.

Confessional – Every church confesses to believe something. A particular church may state “We believe the Bible is true and that we don’t need anything else” and in that statement they’ve made a confession of what they believe. We also believe the Bible is true and that it’s our final authority of truth. We also know that there are many interpretations of the Bible out there, so, for clarity’s sake we state that we hold to Reformed theology and that the Westminster Confession of Faith along with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms are faithful summaries of what the Bible teaches. That’s why we are a Confessional Church.

Family Integrated – There’s been a movement within the churches of our nation that has gone on for decades and that’s to separate the children from their parents during the church service. In many cases the parents sit in the normal church service while the children are ushered off to their own Sunday School or Children’s Hour. We believe that this practice has done more harm than good and that church is a place where God calls all His people to worship Him. We don’t believe the Bible teaches that we should segregate His people by age, but that worship must include the saints and their children – for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. That’s why we are a Family Integrated Church.
